Well, it is Christmas time, after all… even in Texas… and if you haven’t gotten out the heavy winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves just yet, this week would be a pretty good time to do it.
North Texas is getting a dose of very cold temperatures – the coldest in more than two years – as a blast of winter air arrives this week.
Forecasters say an arctic blast will arrive Thursday morning with wind chills in the teens and afternoon highs only reaching the 30s. Friday’s morning low is expected to dip to 20 degrees. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas… but it’s also expected to warm up again soon.
