Tarleton State University’s Police Department has announced the promotion of Kristie Bint, longtime patrol officer and detective, to sergeant. She’s the second female to achieve the rank of sergeant in the agency’s history.
University Police Chief Matt Welch said as a patrol sergeant, Kristie will continue to demonstrate the same passion with the students she encounters and the officers she supervises.
Bint joined the Tarleton Police Department nearly 16 years ago as a patrol officer and served as the agency’s lead detective during the past four years. Rising through the ranks with success and distinction, she was promoted to detective in 2012.
