This year’s Sundown on the Square event is expected to focus on Stephenville’s Western heritage and be even bigger than last year.
It will feature everything from wine tasting to rodeo activities, world champion cowboys, an art exhibit, Western craft vendors, a mechanical bull and music on Saturday, Oct. 8, in downtown Stephenville.
Mayor Kenny Weldon will honor the cowboys who have retired in Stephenville with a special presentation during the event.
It’s in conjunction with the annual By Gone Days on the Bosque that takes place at the Stephenville Historical House Museum.
Proceeds from this event will go toward a brick street initiative for the Stephenville Museum’s Oxford House and the Bosque River Trail.
