Deputy City Administrator Jeremy Allen told the Empire-Tribune that with the latest budget cycle, Stephenville has removed non-resident fees for various city programs.
He said that– with the full support of the city council– the Stephenville public library and other programs will no longer charge people who don’t live in the city.
Allen said that by eliminating the non-resident fees from the library, Splashville and other recreation programs, they’re encouraging Erath County residents to take advantage of Stephenville’s community services.
He said the city council and staff don’t believe the additional fee outweighed the advantages of having more people from outside the city participating in programs, saying Stephenville welcomes everyone.
