At Thursday’s meeting of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority board, members approved grants intended for two local businesses to make facade improvements. SEDA met in the training room at Stephenville City Hall, approving the two $10,000 facade improvement grants, a director’s report and other items in less than half an hour before a closed executive session, which lasted over an hour. The facade improvements are for Texas Appliance Savers and Baxter Chemical and Janitorial Supply Company. Texas Appliance Savers is owned by Brandon McDonald, located by Mattressville on the South Loop. Baxter Chemical is owned by John Baxter and is located on West Washington Street, east of H-E-B Grocery. SEDA tabled action on an invitation of membership into STEDCO, the Stephenville Economic Development Company.
