The Empire Tribune reports they received a phone call from a resident living off County Road 423 in Erath County who expressed concerns about the state of the bridge on the road.
The road is in precinct 4, which is the territory of commissioner Scot Jackson, who said in an email the bridge on 423 was partially washed out during the recent flood. It was still crossable, but a little narrow.
He said FEMA is coming to take a look at that structure and they will hopefully include it in their disaster allowance.
Jackson said materials were hauled away last week to help widen the county road and that after FEMA looks at the bridge, more repairs will be made.
