On Tuesday night, Wayne McKethan signed on as Stephenville’s interim city administrator.
The City Council met in closed session and approved the contract to hire the former Granbury financial director and city manager, after meeting and interviewing McKethan last week, choosing him to serve in the post while an executive search is conducted to find a permanent replacement for city administrator Pat Bridges.
Bridges left last week to become police chief at the University of Texas Arlington.
Mayor Kenny Weldon announced the agreement.
McKethan said Stephenville is a vibrant city, and he’s anxious to get started in the position today, saying he’s honored and excited to be here.
