The Tarleton State Men’s basketball season slipped away, along with a late-game 11 point lead. Joshua Blaylock scored 36 points for fifth-seeded Fort Lewis and the Skyhawks survived 32 from Chantz Chambers to beat the fourth-seeded Texans, 94-90, in overtime Saturday night in Golden, Colorado.
Fort Lewis advanced to a regional semifinal against Colorado School of Mines, the No. 1 seed and host of the event. The Texans lost five straight for the first time since 1996.
In High School Baseball; Nolan Carroll was 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and Easton Jones drove in two runs to lead Stephenville to a 13-0 rout of Nocona on Saturday. Stephenville also tied Graham, 1-1, due to the Henrietta tournament ‘s drop dead rule.
