The Huckabay and Dublin Independent School Districts have earned bronze medals in the 2016 Best High Schools national performance ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
The selections are based on specific principles, which includes great high schools that serve all of their students well, not just those who are college bound, and must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes to show they’re successfully educating students across a range of performance indicators, according to the publication’s website. Schools are also ranked based on their performance on state-required tests.
The process also takes into account the graduation rates of each school. Huckabay is 100 percent, and Dublin is 96 percent.
