The public is invited to the Graham Street Church of Christ’s free Christmas dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. today at the Family Center on North Graham. Volunteers have been working hard to prepare a traditional Christmas meal including turkey, dressing, green beans, candied yams, rolls and peach cobbler.
Larry Branch, the event coordinator and volunteer, said they’re going to try and feed 1,000 people this year, after serving about 800 last year. Church volunteers will deliver to Meals on Wheels clients, or anyone who’s unable to attend.
Take-out and delivery orders need to be placed by 1 p.m. today by calling the church at 965-4510.
The event will also feature 10 raffle box giveaways, Santa and Mrs. Claus and children singing Christmas carols.
