Several thousand Texas high school students and their sponsors will visit Stephenville tomorrow for the annual Area FFA Career Development Events contest, hosted by Tarleton State University and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Approximately 5,000 students and ag science educators representing 507 high schools are expected to come to Tarleton’s Stephenville main campus to participate in various contests and vie for a berth at Texas’ state FFA contests in their respective events. Members from nine of the Texas FFA Association’s 10 areas will compete in 16 contests. Wednesday’s competition follows the Tarleton FFA Invitational CDE Judging Contest, attended by more than 8,500 high school students earlier this month.
