An Erath County man has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of second degree felony possession or promotion of child pornography.
The indictment charges that child pornography was found on a device that 36-year-old Robert Aaron Pilbro had pawned, according to District Attorney Alan Nash. He was convicted of possession of methamphetamine in January, awaiting appeal.
On June 29, the owner of The Pawn Shop contacted police after he found that a laptop and Samsung Galaxy tablet contained disturbing images of female children.
The tablet contained 74 such images, along with information identifying Pilbro. He admitted to receiving the images and that he knew the girls were under the age of 18.
