Dublin’s Police Department has been honored for their 9-1-1 service, and their 25 year commitment to excellence in serving the community.
Chief Michael Jennings addressed the Dublin city council Monday to acknowledge that the department has received an award from the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
The Council’s primary purpose is to strengthen the individual and collective power of local governments and to help them recognize regional opportunities, eliminate unnecessary duplications, and make joint decisions.
The organization serves a 16-county region of North Central Texas centering around Dallas and Fort Worth and has over 230 member governments including 16 counties, numerous cities and special districts.
Dublin, Stephenville and all of Erath county will soon constitute a regional emergency communications district.
