Tarleton State University continues its centennial celebration with a community mixer and an exhibit at the Erath County Courthouse. Sponsored by the Centennial Steering Committee, the Chamber of Commerce MIX is from 5 to 6 p.m. this evening at the Stephenville Historical House Museum at 525 E. Washington St. An expanded exhibit of historical Tarleton artifacts and photographs—dating back to 1917—will be on display in the Carriage House, and the three-room ranch house where the school’s founder, John Tarleton, lived until his death in 1895, and will be open for viewing. Proceeds from Sundown on the Square this Saturday evening will go toward renovating the John Tarleton ranch house.
